STATEMENT ON FOSSIL FUELS

We pledge that we will not enter into sponsorship arrangements, take funding, or take any in-kind contributions from coal, oil,  gas companies and will not permit the use of their logo on any of our promotional materials.

Our main focus is the health and safety of all of our stakeholders, including athletes, event participants, spectators, and volunteers. We also aim to safeguard the general health and welfare of the communities where we train, compete, and live. We seek to safeguard our stakeholders from the effects of climate change and contribute to a healthier, safer environment for all by refusing to accept sponsorship from fossil fuel corporations.

Our organisation has an active focus on improving environmental sustainability. We accept that climate change poses a severe danger to Australia’s natural environment as well as the long-term, sustainable use of our common natural resources. By declining sponsorship from fossil fuel companies, we show our dedication to protecting Australia’s environment for future generations.    

We aim to live up to our beliefs and provide a good example for our community. We understand that respecting our values is critical to the long-term survival and viability of our organisation and facilitates the development of strong relationships with community members and stakeholders. We behave bravely and with integrity by rejecting sponsorship from fossil fuel corporations.
